My name is Jared Aseltine and I have been active in leadership for greater than 10 years. My first bouts into leadership came from an unlikely source, online video games. Don’t laugh too soon! I have spent hours and hours developing clan after clan and having successful groups in online gaming. This was the path that I began on that brought me to where I am today.
Let me tell you a little bit about my work history. I have been working at Go Daddy for the better part of 7 years now. Throughout that time I have worked in multiple roles from Advanced Technical support (Tier 2 support for Go Daddy products) to most recently Department Manager for Professional Hosting Support in Cedar Rapids. I moved to Cedar Rapids just over 2 years ago to start the Advanced Hosting Support team as a supervisor and then moved into the manager role.
Throughout my time in various leadership positions at Go Daddy I have learned from very talented leaders and I have had the opportunity to develop future leaders of the company.
As I stated previously I started my leadership journey in online games and moved what I learned there into the real world and put it to practice every day. I created this website to make an online resource for new leaders as well as to develop the base line for the book I would eventually like to publish under the same name “Leader Loot” as I feel it is a disservice to keep great techniques to ourselves if it can make others better.
I hope to get many more authors on the site so that we can continue to develop this into a compendium of knowledge and a staple resource for not only new but seasoned leaders. If you would like to become an author or talk to me about my leadership development you can drop me a line below or over on our contact us page.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you check back frequently.
